Each guest is assigned a private Bali bed, complete with a comfortable beach lounger, perfect for unwinding and soaking up the sun.

Antigua is sunny year round, making sun protection essential. We recommend wearing a hat and applying sunscreen before ou go outside and after swimming you should re apply. sunscreen is available for purchase at our gift shop for your convenience.

Guests arriving early are invited to enjoy our resort amenities while your room is being prepared. Relax at the bar, indulge in a meal at the grill or restaurant, or unwind by the pool and on the beach..

  • For off-property emergencies, contact local authorities at 911

  • Fire (Code Red) Notify the Front Desk or Security immediately. Evacuate the affected area using the nearest emergency exit. Do not attempt to collect your personal belongings or re-enter your room. Proceed to the designated assembly area located at the resort roundabout, keeping all pathways clear
  • Medical Emergency (Code Blue) Contact the Front Desk immediately. For onsite medical care, our resort doctor, Dr. Beazer, is available to assist you. Provide details of the emergency (nature of injury/illness, room number, etc.). Emergency services will be contacted if necessary.

HURRICANE & TROPICAL STORM PROCEDURES

Tropical Storm: A cyclone with maximum sustained surface wind speeds ranging from 39 mph to 73 mph.

Watch: Announced when conditions may develop in the area within the next 36 hours. During this phase, it may change course and not make landfall.

Warning: Issued when tropical storm conditions are expected on the island within the next 24 hours.In the event a tropical storm is officially issued, please follow these safety measures: Secure all windows and doors in your room.Outside furniture will be remove, to prevent them from being blown away.

Avoid venturing outdoors unless absolutely necessary. Keep flashlights and essential items (medications, water, snacks) within reach. Stay updated with information and follow instructions from resort staff.Be prepared for possible power outages and limited services.Hurricane: An intense storm with sustained winds exceeding 75 mph, often accompanied by heavy rain and high seas.

Watch: Announced when conditions are possible within 36 hours, with sustained winds exceeding 75 mph.Warning: Issued when conditions are expected to impact the island within 24 hours. 

In the event a hurricane is officially issued, please follow these safety measures:Secure all important documents, money, and valuables.

Pack your personal essential items such as medications, toiletries, and a change of clothing. Store remaining clothing and non-essential items in bags or suitcases.Ensure your room is locked and hand over the keys to Reception.

Always follow the guidance of our trained staff.Stay in the designated safe area, away from glass windows and doors, and do not go outside until it is deemed safe.

Please note that alcoholic beverages will not be served during a hurricane warning.In case of flooding, electricity may be temporarily disconnected for safety and will be restored once conditions are secure.

Earthquakes: a sudden and intense shaking of the ground caused by the movement of tectonic plates. Evacuate: This response is used when an immediate threat requires evacuation of the hotel or affected area. Staff will calmly guide guests to designated exits and proceed to the assembly point.Shelter–in–Place: This response is implemented when it is safer to remain indoors. Guests must stay inside the hotel until further instructions are provided.

A living testament to Antigua’s maritime heritage, Nelson’s Dockyard has served as a marina for over 350 years. Named in honour of the famed British Admiral Horatio Nelson, who served as captain of the H.M.S.Boreas in Antigua to enforce British colonial laws. Following years of neglect, the dockyard has been meticulously restored to its former grandeur. Today, it stands as the world’s only remaining Georgian dockyard and a vibrant hub where history meets modern convenience. Betty’s Hope stands as a sorrowful reminder of Antigua’s dark colonial past. Once a thriving sugar plantation, Betty’s Hope is one of the best-preserved of the 112 sugar mills that still dot the island, showcasing the significant role the sugar trade played for its British colonizers.

Named after the daughter of the plantation’s owner, Betty’s Hope is part of an estate that once housed over 400 enslaved Africans. Today, the site serves as a museum, with an interpretation centre offering insight into the history of the plantation, the brutal realities of the slave trade, and the sugar production process.

For guests interested in exploring the island on their own by car, the front desk can assist with rental arrangements.

Please note:

  • While the hotel does not provide car rentals directly, we can assist with arrangements, including having the car and necessary paperwork delivered to the property for your convenience.
  • In Antigua, drivers operate on the left side of the road. Visitors are required to obtain a temporary driving permit, valid for three months.
  • This permit can be purchased for $20 USD at the car rental office at the airport or the Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board in Herberts.
